A band favorite as well as a fan favorite. This song was written while I was bedridden after breaking my collarbone. The lyrics are deeply personal, but easy to relate to, which makes for a powerful song. This was also one of our tightest songs, and never went through a rearrangement in the entire time we performed it.
lyrics
The walls are closing in
My thoughts are running wild
I can't seem to breathe in tonight
I'm running in circles
I can't empty my head
Seems like the world ends at my bed
Time is running out
On a clock that has no hands
The only thing running is me
So why is it so hard
To let go of my fears
I need to find my way
To make worth of these tears
I'm falling down
The weight is just too much
The burden is more than I can bear
Then I hear your voice
Calling through the rain
Your light shines into my eyes
I can stand again
The memories fall through
And all I want to see is you
But in my dreams
I'm failing out
Without a doubt
There's so much I can't figure out
About my life and everything I know
Friends that I just can't let go
And blow by blow
I'm reeling and I just don't know
If I can hang this time
Time is running out
On a clock that has no hands
The only thing running is me
